The lights had to blend in with the house in terms of design and materials. The predominant note is rectangular shapes, with brushed stainless steel accessories, so the choice of recessed square lights with a brushed stainless steel housing was the obvious solution. One of the features of the project confronting the designers was the very small recess depth of 40 mm dictated by the plasterboard ceiling fixed to wooden battens. The BRUCK recessed lights had to be modified to fit this particular situation by shortening the installation depth of the mounting sockets to 35 mm and reducing the size of the internal lamp components. In order to follow the internal logic of the interior design and to avoid having to use too may different types of light, the choice for illuminating the hall, bathroom, living room and bedroom fell on on the MALO WALL recessed spotlight by BRUCK, albeit in slightly modified form as a one-off design with a stainless steel square housing to fit the existing 68 mm cavity sockets in the ceilings. This wall washer, with its pure aluminium reflector and an installation of depth of as little as 40 mm, is fitted with a wide-spreading optical system to spread the light very evenly over the wall without casting distracting light parabolas on to the wall surfaces. This allows pictures to be viewed in their true vibrant colours. |
